A kite that was ahead of its time, it powered riders to the top of the podiums around the world. 19 years later we have broken the boundaries in the big air realm and are bringing it back to our roots.   The Nitro is back. A Pat Goodman design from Cab Design Works, which is the pinnacle of Big Air kiting.   Development was a no holds barred approach to see just what could be created to reach the extremities of height and stability. An Apex series product, the Nitro utilizes the most cutting edge materials, purposely developed for use in inflatable structures to be flown in the extreme demands of big air kiting. With phenomenal warp and weft elongation strength, especially under load, Ultra HT material keeps the kite in a stable arc, but the reactive bias movement allows the kite to turn even when under increased pressure allowing the kite to really fly and recover from loops.   The sport of Big Air kiting is more extreme now than ever before. Tricks, which were individual in the past are now combined into one jump, and the demands on the product have never been higher. SOFT EVA BAR ENDS WITH RETRACTABLE LINE WINDERS The positive buoyancy bar ends with integrated line winder bungees are injection moulded in one piece with no-glue seams for long-lasting quality. The bar ends ensure nothing hard comes in touch with you or your board, float the entire bar, and also contain the concealed rear line adjustment. Even the best quality lines shrink over time, so after a month, we recommend you check your lines are all even and drop them to the bottom knot. It’s easy and takes only a minute to make the change. PROTECTIVE PU-COVERED LEADER LINES To help prevent line abrasion from uncovered lines against your skin, we've used colour-coded PU tubing covers. The covers also help them remain rigid and out of the way when the flying lines aren't under tension. ADJUSTABLE CLEATED TRIM SYSTEM Provides industry-proven line-adjustment when needed. The cleat base has been designed with circular geometry for consistent bar spin. In overpowered conditions the cleat allows you to shorten your front lines and remain in a comfortable body position. Crafted from a patented material specifically formulated for high abrasion flexible applications. CUSTOM LOW-FRICTION SPINNING HANDLE Unspin your front lines easily. ADJUSTABLE LENGTH FLYING LINES 22M (12M + 10M) 22m lines have a split at 12m, which is far enough for the bar to travel to completely depower our largest kite when you flag out. Remove the standard 10m top section of flying line and 12m lines are ideal for schools to teach with and for foil racing. 8m and 6m line extensions are available as an accessory for wave riding or tighter kiteloops. KOOK-PROOF FLYING LINE CONNECTORS Ensure you always set up your flying lines correctly. Designed to be exactly the same length so you can easily change the front (knotted end) and rear (lark's head loop) connectors to match most other manufacturers' kite configurations. THREE ADJUSTABLE BAR LENGTH OPTIONS Fine tune the turning speed of your kite. The Navigator is available in three sizes 50-55cm (L), 45-50cm (M) and 38-43cm (S). To extend/retract bar length simply pull out cassettes on the bar-ends, rotate 180 degrees and snap back into place. OMNIDIRECTIONAL GRIP WITH OFFSET FINGER BAR AND COLOUR-CODED COMPONENTS Feel more connected. The Navigator is designed with a comfortable ergonomic grip for a natural grasp and the tactile offset finger bar is slightly oval, so you can feel when the control bar is orientated correctly. The colour-coded bar ends, leader tubing and line retainer pull tabs give a nod to our sailing heritage, port (red) and starboard (green). SPINNING LEASH ATTACHMENT RING Our oval-shaped leash pin ring is elongated for easier fastening of the leash carabiner, and spins to help prevent your landing line from twisting.
