However we’ve found that a select group of riders with shorter arms, can have trouble reaching the bar at the end of the bar throw. This is why we have created the shorty dreamstick X. The depower-throw has been reduced from 50cm to 42cm, while adding length to the depower-cord to keep line-length the same and have full depower potential when combining the cord. LINE LENGTH size 43-49cm – 22+2m =24m lines Dreamstick X comes standard in a 24m line configuration with removable 2 metres for a quick conversion to a 22m configuration. A unique feature is our foldable line system, which allows you to quickly convert to a 13m, 12m, or 11m setup, depending on whether you fold the lines with or without the 2m extensions, or add the 2m after folding. Winging will never be the same Designer NotesBy Damien Girardin 'Designing SUPERWING X using X-PLY felt like a dream. The amazing stiffness of the material means that we can finally ride a wing that is extremely close to the intended 3d design.' The Triax weave allows me to adjust my panel layout in order to tackle exactly how the efforts are spreading throughout the wing. My goal in the past year with wings has been to gain efficiency, control, stability and reduce flutter as much as possible. I really find it wrong to have a wing looking like a flag in the air every time you de-power or when you fly in neutral. Using regular polyester canopy, I worked on adding more and more tensioning seams on my designs and the wings have become a lot better, but I could still not eliminate flutter 100%. Also you can still feel the profile deformation when you ride. So a stiffer material like X-ply was the natural evolution. I first used existing windsurfing X-PLY, but they were way too heavy and the weight totally outweighed the benefits. So I worked with our manufacturer to use the 1mil technology that they were using on some of their high performance sailboats, and combined with the Triax X-PLY that would allow me total control of load spreading. I am so excited about the result that I can not wait anymore to share this design with the world!
FEATHER 2Intuitive and balanced ride. Feather boards have a compact outline for minimum weight inertia and better aerodynamics. This delivers maximum maneuverability, for the most fun on and above the water. Feather boards have been designed with one simple objective: to be as easy and fun as possible. To achieve this goal we focused on keeping only the absolute minimum necessary on the board, that means the boards are as short as possible while having as much volume as possible, you then get the floatation for low speed starts while having minimal swing weight when riding for easy turns. We have also positioned our foil box in order to allow you to stand closer to the nose of the board to again minimize the swing weight and ensure a very balanced platform when you ride. If the two smaller models are clearly designed to be sinker boards, they still share the great attribute of the whole range. Don't be afraid of the shortness of the bigger board, this is actually what makes these board so fun to ride. WHAT'S NEW Shorter and thicker shapes All boards have been re-designed with a new, even more compact shape. They have become shorter to provide absolute minimum swing weight and inertia, making the board even more maneuverable. You’ll be amazed at what a few inches shorter can add to the amount of fun when riding! Foil boxes further forward for reduced swing weight The foil boxes have also been repositioned slightly further forward to get an even more centered stance on the board. Not only are the boards smaller, but you are also standing closer to the nose for less swing weight. Increased concave on deck The concave in the deck has also been increased for a more locked in position when you’re on your knees on the board or standing.
