The strong point of this system is its modularity, as it is always possible to use your mast both with plate and with tuttle. This Plate has been designed for maximum lightness and strength. It has been milled directly in our factory starting from premium aluminum ingots and then it has been deeply anodized by certified partners. The Kraken Mast Plate also makes it possible to upgrade your set-up with the quick release system (Q01K), thanks to which you can assemble and disassemble your hydrofoil in a few seconds, without losing the configuration on the board.

Flat, loose and fast, the new S208 Stabilizer is another high performance upgrade to the Sonar Foil System for experienced riders. The S208 has a higher aspect ratio than the S210, which means less drag, and the flatter rondure (front view) enables more manoeuvrability. As we’ve increased our front wing range, we’ve needed to match the lift force of the front wing with the stabilizer. While your front wing creates vertical lift, your stabilizer has a downward acting force, which prevents the front wing from nose-diving. A larger stabilizer translates into more front foot pressure, while a smaller stabilizer equals less front foot pressure. The North stabs are mounted on top of the fuselage, which helps them to avoid turbulence from the flow of the front wing, creating a smoother ride. This top mounting also gives the rider an early breach warning - the stab pierces the water surface first, giving you a better chance of recovery before your front wing gets too high. Like the Front Wings, all Sonar Stabilizers are pre-preg carbon construction, ensuring optimal stiffness and direct performance. The thin profile section reduces drag, while the material properties help maintain structural integrity and rigidity. Stabs have a huge influence on performance. As you progress to smaller wing sizes, we recommend changing to a smaller stabilizer to be more manoeuvrable. Experienced riders will really feel the difference. All Apex V1 Rear Wings are factory set at the most stable configuration without a shim to provide incredible pitch and roll stability at slow to medium speeds, combined with enough front foot pressure to assist in learning maneuvers.  AOA – Angle of Attack In general the performance effects of using negative degree shims to reduce the AOA are:  • Increased top end speed and glide performance • Front foot pressure decreased, back foot pressure increased • Decreased pitch stability The higher the degree value, the greater the effects will be. We recommend starting with the -0.5deg shim, then decreasing the AOA progressively with the -1deg and then -1.5deg to feel the effects and find your preferred setting.  Entry level to intermediate riders – if you feel too much front foot pressure, before fitting a shim to adjust the rear wing AOA, we recommend first adjusting the position of your foil on the board by moving the mast backwards. This will reduce front foot pressure without deceasing stability of the foil.  Foil Guide:
